Who we are

The Zao Zone (thezao.com) is a community and content platform built by ZAO Devs. If you have any question about this policy or your data, email us at info@thezao.com.

What we collect

We keep it minimal. The only personal information we collect is the email address you give us when you join the newsletter or waitlist.

If you join through a friend's referral link, we record that connection so we can credit their referral and place you both correctly on the waitlist.

Your theme preference (light or dark) is stored in your own browser via localStorage. It never leaves your device.

We use privacy-friendly, aggregated analytics (page views, country, device type) to understand how the site is used. This does not use cookies and does not track you across other sites.

How we use your email

To send you the newsletter and early access updates about The Zao Zone. Nothing else. We do not sell or rent your information. The list is stored with our email service provider, which processes it only on our behalf.

Unsubscribing and deletion

Every email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email info@thezao.com at any time to be removed and have your data deleted.

Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we keep the amount of data we hold as small as possible.

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date above.
